We have visited New Orleans on a number of occasions staying in various hotels, we stay mostly near the casino but after the last trip we looked else where for a better hotel and found the Pelham, just a block away.
Its a boutique hotel which has recently been bought and is under a new owner and management. We found the hotel and the rooms clean, the staff was very very helpful, the price including valet parking was excellent. The hotel is very convienent for the casino, riverwalk and the quarter. There is a breakfast and lunch resturant attached which was very good and we throughly enjoyed our stay over the weekend. Compared to the previous hotels the room was large and open, and the price was excellent. Talking to the manger there is going to be alot of improvements coming, for my money its great now, its definetly going to be our hotel in New Orleans from now on

As a frequent New Orleans visitor it is always nice to find a hidden gem and this hotel is just that. The location is great. I have always stayed in the French Quarter or on St. Charles St. Both had good and bad points, this hotel has both. It is one block from the French Quarter and the casino, it's close enough but not that noisy. I love the elegance of St. Charles and the streetcar, and it still not too far away from the action. The furnishings are period with marble floors and nice paintings. The rooms were nice and clean with lovely drapes. Very nice employees. This certainly has "old world charm" Will recommend to everyone!

"Great location - helpful staff - very quiet hotel. They lock the outer doors at 11 pm so that made us feel safer. (There is someone to let guests in). Most comfortable bed!!! This place was beautiful and very elegant. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat! It is not in an alley - you can see Canal St. from the door. The parking lot across the street is open on the other side to Canal St. I felt very comfortable walking to the hotel from Harrah's at 11 pm "
